Halloween approaches, and i'm thinking i'm just not gonna be home to worry about trick or treaters lol. my mom is still debating just leaving a bowl out and taking off herself, so i guess we'll see.

got a B on my anthro exam...woohoo! woulda aced it, but i missed the day w did the definitions...won't miss that again... A here i come! :D

WOOHOO! i got a letter from PSU this week that says i'm *officially* a senior! even though it doesn't mean i'll be able to finish this year since i need more classes for my major, it DOES mean that i'll get first pick of classes each term...and since i'm thinking about double majoring, that would be awesome! still trying to decide what to get my bachelor of the arts in though...i guess i'll think of something :)

went to the Native American Student and Community Center opening today...didn't get to actually tour it due to time, but the ceremony itself was great...lots of tribes were represented, and drum, song, and dance were all had...good times! :)

i've decided tha the only thing worse than a driver's license pic is a student ID card pic...good god. once i scrap up $20, i'm getting a new one lol.

oy...so as i predicted, booze and costumes DID promise good times. after a mix of sobe and vodka, a lil captain's (gah), some long island mix, and some 'home brew' *note: it is NOT smart to drink something called home brew...it's mean stuff!*, not to mention an especially violent game of air hockey that nearly sent a puck through the skylight, i made it home at 4am. good times!


had a test today in anthropology class. dear lord, wrote an essay question for almost the whole class period (an hour and 5 minutes long). hopefully i'll pull an A or a B...we'll see! :)

alas, halloween is upon us...well, halloween parties anyway. got one tomorrow that should prove interesting if nothing else. booze and costumes always promise good times.

school still trucks along. my no-show psych professor has *finally* been replaced, and class will essentially begin all over again. oh, and all our notes thus far are useless...yay! oh well, can't hurt to put more in the ol' brain, right?

does anyone else hate those Ripley's Believe it or Not shows (and the like) as much as i do? gah...i turn the tv off as soon as i hear the opening credits...that's just nasty. i don't care about how many of what can be stuffed where on the human body, nor do i really want to see how far out bodily appendages can pop out before they fall out and smack on the floor. yech!

on the halloween note again...i wish i had money, because i've seen so much great fabric used to make costumes...feathers, shimmery fabrics...i love it! a pimp could make a killing restocking his hat wardrobe...

ok, so the flu left quickly enough, but now i got hammered with sinus probs...damn this wet weather lol.

god help me, but i'm actually getting into watching 'the wade robson project' on mtv...the chick from portland got booted a while ago, but there are a couple that are still on (tyler and michelle) that i'm hopin might win, so we'll see.

i can't believe the second week of school has already ended! so far no homework other than massive amounts of reading...good times! i'm starting to not even mind my minor hike from the parking structure to my classes lol. good exercise! :)

yay! my flu is almost gone! although i kinda miss it, cause i managed to lose 5 pounds from it...but, back to working out and getting rid of it the 'right' way.

week number two is halfway gone and still loving portland state...even debating getting two bachelors as opposed to just one...we'll see how financial aid goes. who knows, i could have both a bachelor of science AND a bachelor of the arts! WOOHOO!

Tina is scheduled to come back soon...i can't wait! i miss hanging with her, and have always considered her one of my best buds, even though i don't always get to talk to her as much as i'd like. she's gonna be going to western culinary institute... viva la chef!!

i REALLY hate the flu...had it since Sunday, thank God it's going away...got school to get caught up on.

gotta watch the real world tonight...i'm hopelessly addicted to the damn show! then i'm crashing out...need my zzzzzs....

I need to find a frame for my associate's degree...I'm proud as hell to finally get this degree, even if it IS only an AA...it's taken me so long *thanks to moving, working, semesters off, etc.* that it's like finishing a marathon...a long haul, but totally worth it!!

My study group for my Chicano/Latino communities class is great...everyone has something worth saying and sharing...I LOVE IT!! i think our topic of bilingual education is going to be a fun and interesting topic to dive into, and I can't wait to see what we come up with!

thank god tomorrow is friday...i don't know if i'd rather go out or stay home and take a nice bubble bath...only time will tell...
