for the record, i HATE the humid weather lately. bleh. anyways, a while back i made a trip to the 'grunge' goodwill, and came out with a major haul of books (give or take 30 books, hard backs too) for about $12.00.  needless to say, i've been doing a lot of reading this summer, and am really starting to enjoy the quick reads by Robin Cook. gotta love a good medical mystery/thriller.  i was just happy to get a hard back edition of Hannibal in near perfect condition for 50 cents. WOOHOO! the Runaway Jury by John Grisham is turning out to be pretty interesting too. we'll see if i'm inspired to watch the movie.
 
so the old 'taco monday' tradition is starting to be revived at the wichita.  me, amber, tori, and tina all went a couple weeks ago, and me and amber made it in last week.  who knows, maybe we'll get a big group going again before long.  if they didn't have league pool that night, i could get some good practice in. i'm determined to become a pool shark i think lol.  i was doing pretty good last thursday...until me and tori were challenged to play these two guys, and then i promptly hit the 8 ball in. oh well lol. they paid for the games, so i can't complain.
 
i'm proud of myself- i've continued my workout schedule, with minor misses here and there, for 3 months now! this is the 13th week since i've started my goal of working out at least 5 days a week (minimum), and i can tell i'm in much better shape. i've even tried out my dad's 30-minute routine (which kicked my butt in 20 minutes). i think i might start adding it in twice a week...can't hurt, although the 3 days i was sore from it, i woudln't have said that.
 
tina told me one the coolest shops downtown closed! dammat! i LOVED the furniture and accessory stuff they had in there.  hopefully they'll crop up somewhere else.  good furniture is hard to find. furniture with a PERSONALITY is hard to find.
